Art on the Plains Continued..........

This “different feeling” makes Fargo – namely downtown Fargo – unique. “This is a kind of neat remnant of the past that [Fargo] kept around,” said Fisher, who originally came from Long Island, NY. She said, “Downtown…was what I was looking for. There’s Target, Wal-Mart, and K-Mart in every place you go to, but you don’t find the Fargo Theatre, you don’t find a Zandbroz everywhere – or a Plains Art Museum. It’s nice, it’s unique.”
According to Ben-Haim, Adam Chodzko (who exhibited work at the museum until April 6, 2003), told her “art happens between the viewer and the piece.” If that is the case, visitors must see the Plains Art Museum for themselves to find the feeling it creates in them, and to understand its beauty, its role within the community and its history.
