Christina’s interest in history triggered the idea for her photo documentary. The documentary compares pictures taken of Moorhead in the late 1800s with those taken by Christina today. She said that the most difficult part of completing the project was trying to figure out the spot where some of the pictures were taken from and the direction the photographer was facing. “Buildings were gone, roads were changed. There wasn’t always a lot to match my shot to,” Christina said. Her project was influenced by O.E. Flaten and Peter Parker, two 20th Century photographers.
